Platform: Growing up as a child in Cameroon I have always had a desire to help others. My platform focus on creating awareness, educating, providing basics needs and raising fund for children who have lost their parents to HIV and AIDS, and are homeless. The numbers of children affected by this epidemic or are left behind by parents who have died from HIV and AIDS is at large. As the number of this children increase, their community becomes less and less capable of addressing all the basic needs and their ability to go to school. I would make it my mission to create an awareness that no child is left behind in regards to their education and ways to prevent the spread of HIV and AIDS in their community. I will supply basic needs such as food, books, pencils, shoes, clothing and toiletry. Education is critical to the future of all children, but especially to those who have lost their parents to HIV and AIDS. Just as Nelson Mandela said “education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”.
